Working Mother magazine presented the CEO of San Diego-based Happy Heinys with the Entrepreneur Mom Award for her dedication in making quality reusable diapers while being a quality mom at the same time.
CEO and founder of Happy Heinys Linda Byerline said she is ecstatic about the award. Her company creates soft cloth diapers that are fitted easily to the child.
“What we do here at our shop though is not so that we can win an award or say that we are the best company for women to work at. We do what we do because it is so important that as parents we are able to be there for our children,” said Linda Byerline.
The company has a play area for children, breastfeeding and sleeping areas for infants and flexible hours so parents can attend school events when needed.
The company started in January 2002 after the premature birth of Byerline’s third child. Over the last six years, Happy Heinys has become one of the largest manufactures of modern day reusable cloth diapers and among the world’s favorite celebrity babies as well as the No. 1 rated reusable cloth diaper on the Internet.
